    Lisa De Lange

    Director and Lead EAP of Blue Crane Environmental

    Lisa de Lange is a seasoned environmental assessment practitioner with a proven track record in problem-solving, managing project and regulated timeframes, and producing high-quality reporting. Her expertise has been honed through her involvement in numerous high-profile renewable and non-renewable energy projects and environmental processes that required extensive consultation with stakeholders such as interested and affected parties (I&APs), organs of state, NGOs, and NPOs.

    Lisa has successfully navigated the complexities of stakeholder engagement in these projects, including those that have been highly controversial. In particular, she has been instrumental in EIA processes for the development of wind farms, working closely with stakeholders such as BirdLife South Africa and Ground Works. Lisa is committed to ensuring that all parties have a voice in the process, and her approach has been praised for its transparency, inclusivity, and sensitivity to the concerns of all stakeholders.

    Curtis Meintjies is a professionally registered multidisciplinary post graduate natural scientist and environmental engineer with over 22 years’ experience as a sustainability and environmental specialist in the Energy Industry.
    After nearly two decades of honorable service to Eskom, Curtis has been retained as the Karpowership Environmental Manager for Southern African operations where he leads and directs the organizations sustainability framework and drives performance in relation to material environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in the region.

    Curtis is an advocate for sustainability and the diversification of the energy mix in South Africa.

    Ashlea is a Principal Associate at WSP Group Africa, with 20 years’ experience in the environmental field. She currently provides technical and strategic expertise on a diverse range project in the environmental management field, including environmental scoping and impact assessment studies, environmental management plans, as well as the provision of environmental management solutions and mitigation measures. Ashlea has been involved in the management of a number of large EIAs specifically within the energy sector such as the Medupi Power Station, Pebble-Bed Modular Reactor (PBMR), Green Hydrogen Facilities and numerous Renewable Energy Developments (Wind and Solar) and Transmission Powerlines. Ashlea holds a Masters in Environmental Management; a BTech (Nature Conservation), and a National Diploma (Nature Conservation). She is also a Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner.
