Janice has been practicing as an environmental attorney since 2013 and has a unique skill set in both environmental management and law. She initially trained in zoology, botany, ecology, and environmental management, and worked as an environmental consultant, facilitator, and environmental impact assessment (EIA) practitioner for many years before pursuing a career as an environmental lawyer. She is a director and co-founder of the newly established law clinic ALL RISE Attorneys for Climate and Environmental Justice, working pro bono for communities who cannot afford legal services.

Kelvin R Legge holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, 1982. Upon graduation he maintained the Legge family commitment of public service through the Department responsible for water resource management, uninterrupted since its inception in 1910. His experience includes the design and construction of bulk water resources and associated infrastructure which was augmented by materials and technology investigations pertaining to fluid flow through soil, filters and geosynthetic materials, the development of waste management and related regulations and review of their engineering implementation. Diverse responsibilities have included grave and archaeological rescue, agriculture and relocation housing developments, including the provision of services.
